This weekend will be BrisStyle's first ever Indie Mother & Child Market! A wonderful selection of Brisbane's best handcrafted goods particularly for the Mums and the kids. And Wonderland Avenue Aprons will be there will a delightful assortment of aprons for everyone! I've just checked the weather forecast and it looks like we're in for a glorious day in the sun! So come along, the kids can have their faces painted and enter cool competitions, grab some delicious food and have a wonder around this beautiful and unique market. This saturday the 8th May. The lovely Melinda from Retro Bird makes handmade, retro inspired clothing and gifts, mostly for children, but i spotted some beautiful fabric necklaces for adults.

Mondocherry, had a gorgeous stall with loads of cleverly made paper and fabric art, cards and gift tags.
My lovely neighbour for the day! The gorgeous Natalie, aka Miss Dish! She had a beautiful display of unique collection of jewellery and accessories made from vintage fabrics and beads. I was a bit concerned when i arrived next to her because she was tying on an apron to her mannequin! it turned out she was a collector of vintage aprons and was just a display!

It was my first time at the Portside Boutique Markets on Sunday, located in Hamilton, Brisabne. It is a neatly put togethermarket, well organised and has a fine selection of Brisbane's craftsters. Even though it was a relatively quiet day, I had fun chatting to some of the other lovely stall holders and gained a bit of insight into the different markets going on. If you haven't already been yourself, here's a few pics to get a glimpse of what its like.

Funkiest Potter in Minnesota

I recently had a customer request through Etsy to make a potters apron. (the kind with the split up the middle so you can tie it to your legs) I had never made one before but it is a really basic design and is easy to make. The woman I made it for chose the funky pears fabric by Robert Kaufman and this is how it turned out! I even took the time to perfectly match up the pears on the pocket... I love to make something personal and special for someone, so feel free to contact me for your own custom creation.
